School Library Operational Policy
- Hours of operation

- The Library will be open 30 minutes before the start of the school day on any day that school is in session and remain open until 5 p.m. for club meetings, individual work on school-related projects, media check-out and reading.
- Scheduling policy for classes and justification

- Faculty and Teachers may request usage of the library with or without librarian as the teacher via the library’s google calendar. Two classes working on the same learning objective may book the library simultaneously. Otherwise, library use as a class is restricted to one class at a time.
- Circulation policy
- Books are checked out for a total of two weeks and may be renewed once.
- Students are allowed to check out five books at once, so long as the student has no books out that are more than one week overdue.
- Check-out restrictions will not be made on basis of grade-level, reading level, or any other personally identifying factor.
- Teachers may check out up to fifteen individual books, two class sets of books, and/or one technological device and/or media player at any given time. All books and media must be returned to the library by the end of the last full week of school before summer break.
- Fines policy- Fines will be accrued daily at $0.10 until the book has been returned. The fine shall not exceed the cost of replacing the book. Students may work off their fines by assisting with library functions at the discretion of the librarian.

- Students using the library during class time will have a pass from their teacher that displays the time they were allowed to leave class and the time that they must return.
